Structural Performance & Reliability

We assess the performance and reliability of individual structures and systems — including buildings, bridges, and transmission towers — under hazard loads such as wind, seismic, and climate-driven events. This work is grounded in engineering models and simulation, applying structural reliability theory and fragility modeling — increasingly supported by surrogate and machine learning-based methods — to evaluate how structures perform and degrade over their service life.
